Just wondering could anyone recommend a nice hotel in Dublin city centre . Preferably one with swimming pool etc and not to far a walk from all the action

Swimming pools and City Centre Hotels... not common my man.

If you're insistent on the pool then the Clarion IFSC is probably your best bet. About 5-10mins on the Luas to O'Connell St from there.

The Camden Court has a swimming pool - or used to anyway.

Very handy for St. Stephen's Green / Grafton St. end of things.

ETA so do the Merrion and Shelbourne, but I suspect they're not the sort of hotels you're after!

+ 1 for the Clarion IFSC

Pool in the basement and you have the Luas pretty much outside the door

Maldron Cardiff Lane has a swimming pool and you can usually get a good deal on the place.
