I'm organising my brothers stag weekend on the first weekend in October and heard Westport is a great spot for one. Has anyone any tips cheap for accommodation like hotels or maybe renting a house, and whats the general night life like there?

Westport is a popular venue for stags, hens etc.

A lot to do, and a good range of accommodation.
