Nexus 7 - tethering or wireless hotspot

I'm thinking of buying a nexus 7 32g (no 3g) and I'm wondering if it is possible to tether it to your mobile?
If yes, what would be the best mobile provider cost wise?

Alternatively, would I be able to use it with a wireless hotspot?
Again, what would be the best provider cost wise?

Thanks a mill for the help.
    Filipa

Yeah, it will work fine with any phones with wifi hotspots. I currently use mine with an O2 Hotshot. I find that the O2 device drops to 2G (as opposed to 3G) speeds more often than I'd prefer. Otherwise it works grand and I get about four to five hours of web usage out of it.

Regarding cost, I got mine on a student deal where it was €10 a month for 15 GB usage and a free Hotshot. I can't see any sign of that offer now. This page: http://www.o2online.ie/shop/view/product/ql_catalog/catdevice/35759204 lists that for about €20 a month.
