Just discovered Hillview stores in mulhuudart near damastown industrial estate.
They are doing freshly cooked breakfast rolls with eggs cooked to order.

They charge only €4 for the roll with sausage egg bacon packed and any choice of cold can.

I won't argue the taste attributes of Breakfast roll v sub (but I could).

But "healthier"? It's a breakfast roll he ordered - He's not interested.

OP- sounds great. Feeling hungry now!:D

I gave up eating breakfast rolls each morning (construction industry).

Tend to go for the odd subway once in a while.
But I mostly have homemade brown bread chicken salad sandwiches and some rivita nowadays.:D

Oh and me glass of milk too.;)

    Anyway...thats for another thread.

Sorry to the OP for straying off topic.

A bargain is a bargain at the end of the day.

Glad you are happy with it.:)

You'd have to be a very naive and innocent person to fall for the marketing suggesting subway sandwiches are healthy. Eat what you like, I hope it's a bargain, but don't cod yourself that it's even remotely healthy!

Also, if you pass within 50m of Subway, you smell like Subway for the rest of the day.

I can vouch for these breakfast rolls. That shop is my local corner shop and the breakfast rolls are amazing. Soft or crispy roll... eggs cooked to order... they also do lovely chicken curry!

Just ordered 4 this morning for the gang here. 10 mins cooking them while you wait. Jesus, unbelievable. Sound lads too !

I second the bargain and they are tasty on top of it , fresh egg , crispy pudding and a soft roll , then who can say no to a free can !!

I haven't had these rolls so I can't comment on quality etc .

But when did €4 for a brekkie roll and a can become a bargain? Is that not just normal price?

Spar deli. 2 sausages ( sitting under poxy heat-lamps for god only knows how long ) and 2 slices of bread -€2.60 Can - €1 = €3.60

1 large fresh soft roll, 3 sausages, 2 pudding 2 bacon,1 fried egg ( all cooked while you wait ) plus can - €4 quid.

    A no-brainer.
