Dunnes 10% back on groceries in February

    For every €50 you spend on groceries & alcohol you get 10% back on your Valuclub card. Not their best offering but it's something.

    I reckon their sales may be down over their refusal to allow animal charity fundraising in stores. Trying to encourage people back in.

    It's a bit of a gimmick imho, you need to spend multiples of €50 to get the benefit. It won't cost them that much. But it's better than no discount at all :)

    Doubtful, not that animal welfare isn't important but there are a lot of people who wouldn't know about the issue (Dunnes barring fundraising, not animal welfare itself) and a lot more who don't care about it. I would expect the majority of people who are voicing their opinion in this matter don't shop in Dunnes anyway for various other matters, If it were England though I would agree with your point.

    Edit:
    As above it's not a great deal since you only benefit by buying in multiples of 50 but if you shop in Dunnes it's better than a kick in the teeth.
