How can I turn off predictive text on Sony Xperia j.

I have tried everything, including the options in Language & Input but prediction is still on.

Probably just best if you download a new keyboard app. I think the missus has a touchpad she got from the play store and its much better than the stock Sony one by all accounts.

Thanks very much. My son has made the same suggestion so I will probably do that.

If you go into settings->language and input

Then tap the settings icon on your Xperia Keyboard in the list, tap Text Input Settings then turn off Gesture Input.

I use it all the time though, it is way faster once you get used to it than regular text input.
