    Mike Gibson,Ray McLoughlin, Fergus Slattery, Ollie Campbell,Tony Ward, WjMcBride,Woody,Milliken and Rod O Donnell never won a slam despite being Lions.
    And of course our best 9 ever Patterson.

    Considering what they contributed to the team and to miss out in the manner they did, one retiring early, the other heartbreakingly dropped the season we won a grand slam, I would say Dennis Hickie and Shane Horgan.

    Of the old players, Stephen Gaeoghan, Anthoney Foley, Mike Gibson.

    Of other nations, defintitely Pairesee and Dominguiz.

    It's tough to pick other players, as unlike Ireland, most teams win a six nations at least once during a players international career. Even the scottish great of Hastings and co won a grand slam.
