I have a Garmin 910XT and Garmin cadence sensor set up on my bike. Do i have to sync it every time I go for a cycle? I set it up last night for the first time and it was working fine last night. When i got home today i jumped straight on the bike to make the most of the sunlight thinking the watch and sensor would be connected. When i got home and transferred the data to garmin connect there was no cadence data.

I set it up again this evening, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/268100804

Its working now but will I have to sync it all over again tomorrow before i get on the bike?

Anyone have any ideas on this? For anyone who uses a garmin cadence sensor with any watch/cycling computer? Is there anyway to make sure they are connected before I set off?

I only synced my 910 and cadence sensor once. It's worked flawless since.

On bottom of watch screen on home menu it should have a unblinking cadence sensor icon showing once watch and sensor are connected.

Maybe check the arm on the sensor on the off chance you knocked it slightly out of alignment?

Hmmm, that could be the problem alright. Ill have a look out for the symbol flashing when I get home. Hopefully it will be working. I turn off my watch completely every night. That wouldn't wipe it would it? It always picks up my HRM straight away!

I have never installed a sensor myself before, so the problem could easily be an installation error. I thought I had it right though when it does work sometimes!

I have a cadence sensor set up on two of my bikes and have to change between the profiles on the garmin when changing bikes. Make sure you haven't selected bike 2 that has no cadence sensor paired with it. Probably not what happened but have a look at it anyway.

I have checked that, only have the one bike anyway. As far as I can see its set up right, it just didn't pick up the sensor yesterday evening when I went out...

As you can see no cadence results on that cycle, but when I reset the sensor again that evening and set it up again I got it working.

I am just hoping it will be working this evening when I head out, and I just want to know is there a way I can check if it is before I go, while I am out there! I am not even that bothered about cadence results, I just hate when I can't get something working!
