Saorview not working

Hi. I hope someone can give me advice. I have 4 tvs in my house. 3 of them have saorview built into the tv. They work fine. The 4th one hasn't. I have a walker saorview box for that one but it can't find any channels. The saorview box won't work with any tv. I have a slx 4 way aerial amplifier that sends the signal to all the tvs. The saorview box only works if i put in the aerial wire coming directly from the aerial itself. I'm confused as all the tvs that have saorview built into them work fine and the box won't work. Would it be anything to do with the booster? Thanks

The signal strength may be too high for the STB's tuner when passed thru the distribution amp. Is there a signal strength (ss) and/or signal quality (sq) meters on the STB. Full ss and lowish sq readings could indicate overloading of the STB's tuner.

Came across similar recently at my brother's house. Although there is no distribution amp in the sytem the signal strength is very high (off-scale reading on a Digipro meter). Doesn't cause any problems on the 2 installed TVs but he recently installed a new Walker PVR looping the aerial thru the PVR to the TV. The Saorview picture from the PVR via the HDMI displayed constant breakup, no problems on the aerial connection to the TV. The Walker in-built meter displays full signal strength and fluctuating signal quality readings.

You could try a variable attenuator on the aerial lead before it connects to the STB or bypass the amp for the particular feed. Have you tested the signal to all 4 receivers without the distribution amp?

Check the 'Power Supply out' is set to 'OFF'. Had a similar problem with a LIDL box. This cured it.
