I have just been busy with stuff in the real world and hardly been near my computer. The POTW cannot be done easily by iPhone.

Crazy shifts at work too .... just finishing a run of Night Duty.

i would say not to bother with catching up; just set a new start date and work from there. no point in making extra work for yourself...

Nah .... Will catch up slowly. Doesn't matter if it's a few weeks behind than normal.


It is a bit of time to compile, but quite a pleasant task. Looking at some great shots.

Also it amazes me the different voting paterns. My normal procedure is to run through the relevent pages and if am image has 30+ Thanks it gets put on the spreadsheet along with page & post count. These are then sorted on the in decending order. Highest gets POTW. Then down the list for four HM's. Only the highest scoring Photo from an individual gets through. Some weeks there are 15+ images on the list. Other weeks I have to go back and add in images that got 25 - 30 Thanks.

POTW hasn't been done in quite some time. i could have a bash at it myself, but i am not sure i have the time every week...

thoughts? would be nice to get this going again. gave people a real buzz, i think!

If you are looking for some help I would have no problem giving a hand. I wouldn’t be available to do it every week but the weeks I am not around are very much planned in advance so I could let you know in plenty of time.

Back in my day when god was a gossan (*sniff) there wasn't even that rather helpful count on the number of thanks a post gets at the bottom of each, soooooooo there was a lot of manual counting of lots of posts. (well, if one post had a gazillion thanks, then it was obvious a post with only a few could be ignored, though Tony went into overdrive gear and pulled in honourable mentions too.... blame Tony, not me... Oh, and make sNarah do the counting eh... just sayin' )

Id love to see POTW up and running again.
Its the first thing i look at when i boot up my pc in the mornings.
Fair play to all who put in the time to make it happen.
Would love to see it back up and running again.

POTW is the best thing on boards.ie photography forum by a good few miles and bar none!! Well done to you for the effort and time. The photos always amaze me.
