Possibly a very stupid question - Galaxy Note 2 and Lightening!

We had very bad thunder and lightening last night. I just picked up my note 2 which was plugged in and charging just as large blast of lightening flashed.

There was suddenly a big blue spark out of the gap between the charger and the phone. I got a shock off it and the phone was quickly dropped the short distance to the carpet. It's probably due to the lightening but I'm wondering if it would have done any damage to the phone internally? I don't have it with me so it hasn't been used today. I'm also of the opinion that I should not get a shock like that.

Would you return the unit? Seems like a bit of a hazard to me.

Anyone? Using the phone tonight and it's laggy when typing. Restarted it but it's still the same. Nothing major but it's noticeable.

Nobody would be willing to return it under those circumstances.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

But is it expected that the phone/charger shocks you? I don't think the user should get that from the phone but I admit it was a coincidence.

No I haven't, but it seems slightly better this morning after a few updates. It still definitely felt the effects!
