    Hi guys,

well as the title suggests I am back in that fun town Carlow!

Whilst away for two years, I got to see the so called "scene" in all its glory ;)
I had the experience of getting a proper fella, a "friend" making a pass at him and many other dramas

Oh and I managed to get a degree while dealing with that and working through depression which is a big positive.

I am now back in carlow, trying to forget the dramas and find a job as a civil engineer, which is proving impossible.

The big problem is not lack of romance - I aint going there for a while haha- its just I have nothing to do of my days except browse the net looking for jobs. Anyone know of any groups around Carlow I could get involved in for a bit of social contact, maybe even of an LGBT nature?

Don't know of any social groups, but there is a gay night held in one of the clubs there either every week or every month.

Firstly, while ideally I would have loved to stay around Athlone/Galway, I had to broden my search for work. Maybe you will too Bicarlow Guy, just for the sake of finding something. If you find work outside of Carlow, this may help broden your social group and help with exanding your LGBT circle also.
