I paid €1150 I think for a 50/90 Vortex boilerhouse a couple of weeks ago I think. What size Turco did you get quoted for?

Similar ques as OP. Would a 50/90 suit a 70's 4bed semi D. Kscobie was that plus or inlcuding vat?.
MrJoneil: where did you get your price?

Is it true condensing oil boilers are more problematic than A rated non condensing.

There is no such thing as an A-rated non-condensing boiler!
They are not problematic if they are commissioned properly but some are as not problematic as others even when they are, sort of speak!

They are discontinuing it so I’m not going to state till I make a few more enquiries. It’s a 21 kw Ambassador indoor model. It’s coming without a low level flue kit and the price sough is €900. Think I’ll have another cut in that.
Anyone know where that could be acquired?:(

mmmm wonder what would the same supplier charge for a Grant indoor model.

personally I have no experience with Turco boilers, A friend of mine was getting a good price on them and fitted a few but a while ago he stopped fitting them and went back to using Grant vortex.

IMO the Grant vortex is worth the extra money

    Shane: DTP;)

Best price I got so far for Turco/Consul boiler 27/33 €1298.20 inc vat+ €127.81 for the balanced flue kit. Anywhere else doing better.

    Thanks

Yup, I could a lot better than that for a Grant Vortex. I know where I would spend mine.

Just remember a 27/33 was quoted! I have given my comment based on the 26/36 Vortex.

Yeah I would have suppliers in Dublin.
Is it a boiler house model you are after?
    I thought you have gas!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,161 ✭✭✭cubix

Yep boiler house model, different job. House owner was looking at scraping the oil and getting gas in. From looking at the BG site it seems reasonable, do they still burrow or do they want to dig up a garden

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,677 ✭✭✭shane0007

If Nat Gas is available, I would definitely go that route. €251 from road in, maximum 15m from boundary to meter location. €40 for every meter after that. They worm it in.

Vortex 26kw boiler & flue €1,175 incl vat
Vortex 36kw boiler & flue €1,415 incl vat

Remember you will have a lot more to buy with that, pump, pump valves, AAV, PRV, remote acting fire valve, fittings, etc.

Yeah was looking at those prices on BG site, long run dont seem to bad.
