Running a car is becoming stratospherically expensive, and for those who might only need to drive once or twice a week - say for a particular piece of work, or a family outing that can't be done on public transport - Zipcar looks as if it might be good.

So, is anyone using it here?

And are the problems listed in the Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zipcar) - hidden fees for things like sorting out customer problems - also a problem in Ireland? Or do they run the company in a straighter way here?
