    just an FYI for anyone with this account with them.

    I was pulled in by the great AER of 2.25 / 3.20 but this has now dropped to 1.60 / 2.55.

    (the day after i opened the account with them)


    40% drop....

    any one recommend a saving account that's a bit more reliable?

    Why not look at a fixed term deposit?

    They can range from daily to a yearly term inc some 2/3/4/5 years etc.

    thanks bill but i will be looking at a saving's account i can top up most months

    Then try UB's reg savers, they should have been able to tell you that rate was dropping. They would have known far in advance of that. Failing that PTSB have some good rates.

    i did ask how the AER was doing ,they only told me it went up last month.
