Good thing the BMW was RWD.

Probably get prosecuted for dangerous driving now, and rightly so.

They never clamp the driven wheels, unless it's a 4x4.

id say, new front left tire , fine and new clamp to pay for now. that all will be more, than pay just fine.

Apparently he made sh!t of the road too, so no doubt he'll have to pay for that to be repaired also.

He was clamped by the Local Authority, not by private clamping scum, LA clamping is legal, he's in deep sh!t now.

Did he know he had a clamp on?
Shouldn't the clamp be on the drivers side always to ensure its seen before being driven off?

I don't think that's the case. Almost positive I've seen plenty of FWD cars with a clamp on the front wheels.

Could have been cowboy clampers. Any LA clamps I've seen have always been on a non driving wheel.

Ranelagh is LA clamp central, and (might be coincidence, but I doubt it!) that's an LA clamper van right behind the car.

I can confirm it was the LA that clamped the car. Wouldn't fancy being that man, he'll have the book thrown at him.

I was replying to the post below about cars being clamped on the driving wheels. Not who clamped the car in the OP

According to a comment on You Tube, this is the guy who who claimed the banks were making him homeless when he decided to stop paying his mortgage but in fact had 18 other properties...

Yup "allegedly" it is the same poor aul pensioner, and a pretty abrasive character too going by my bro's comments on what he said to him.
