Survival courses

anyone know of any survivalist courses in Ireland, Britain or preferably Spain?

something that teaches the very basics of resource gathering, camp building etc... aswell as tracking, maybe fishing/hunting and maybe orienteering, general stuff like that?

also on another similar note, places that teach first aid?

the second link says est. $24000 per group. id be looknig to do this sort of stuff solo, joining into some random bigger group if possible. and i probably should have stated, im a student with not much money, so itd have to be budgeted....alot!

I have done 3 courses with Woodlore - Ray Mear's company.
It sounds like "Fundamental Bushcraft" is what you are looking for.

It is a 6 day well-rounded introduction to bushcraft/survival.

The instruction was excellent, and I learned a hell of a lot. I think it really provides a great base from which you can go on to learn more.

Frontier Bushcraft, run by Paul Kirtley, also has an excellent reputation.
Many of the staff are ex-Woodlore. However I haven't personally done any training with them (yet).

i did, but i wasnt finding exactly what i was looking, also i figured the people on this forum would know way more than me and i might get abit of advice of the best places
. the norwegian thing would be ultimately be what id be aiming for eventually just i dont have the money right now, so i guess one of the basic ones in ireland will be grand

You can figure out 99% of this stuff on your own, god knows there's enough education out there on youtube. I mean do take the courses, but if money is an object, you've two good hands and an internet connection there.

Thats true Doc,alot of info can be found on the net,and There is plenty of good illustrated books out there to learn from.
The best learning though is to bring your backpack and head for the woods and mountains,and try out things for yourself;)
