    Hi Everyone,

Ive got a 20yr old driveway which is in fairly good nick and a newer section of concrete drive about five yrs old side by side. Im looking to cover or resurface this in an easy diy type fix if its possible. Ive found this product on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIEll-lmsQE and this is about as close as I can get. Ive tried a good few builders suppliers and concrete companies but to no avail. Can anyone recommend a product available in Ireland ??

There is a company in England called www.Spaldings.co.uk.
They deliver to Ireland, they used to have a warehouse in Athlone. Now its all done online direct from UK

They have a few similar products here:

How did it work out, I have a concrete imprint driveway and am fed up with it,the grooves are too deep ,so I want to put a concrete coat over the driveway as thin as possible to cover the imprint and possibly cover the whole drive to get rid of the black colour .

A thin layer of concrete over that will just crack, resin bonded stone would allow you to choose the colour.

If you prepared it correctly, something like this might do the trick.

    Can be bought in Chadwick’s

That would likely not be sufficient for bonding. The imprinted concrete is probably already sealed with an arylic sealer that would make it difficult to bond.

"In all areas subjected to regular wheeled traffic or heavy loading, and on dense surfaces, ARDEX R 3E Solvent Free Epoxy Primer should be used to prime, sand blinding the surface while still wet. This should be allowed to cure and excess sand removed before applying ARDEX K 301."

Also bear in mind its designed to be self levelling so if there's any kind of a gradient in your drive it may not stay where you want it although you can reduce the water to make it thicker. You'll need more than 2mm as you'll have to broom finish to avoid ending up with a very smooth surface that when coated with the customary irish coating of algae /moss/leaf mold could be extremely slippery.
