power steering problem on corsa

    need some advice as got a power steering problem on a late 09 corsa 1.3cdti,

    last week the steering became very heavy and the Little warning symbol light( steering wheel) came on, on the dash...
    its been sitting up for past 3 months til then...

    That car probably has electronic power steering (as opposed to hydraulic) and it could be something as simple as a low battery. As NCT says, get it analysed.

    OK but for the moment is it ok to drive it say to the garage, we do not want to cause any damage to car its about 3 miles away
