Sealing Socket Back Boxes in Kneewall

Hi folks, I just opened a section of knee wall in a dormer bedroom to sort out the insulation inside. Its the only room that has two double sockets in the knee wall - these are both letting in draughts & now I see why, the socket back boxes are not sealed in any way. The are both plastic plasterboard back boxes rather than metal ones.

Cpuld I use some sort of fire resistant spray foam over the back of them to seal the boxes? If so where can I get my hands on some? If not can someone suggest a way of sealing them.

If the plasterboard was cut the correct size, there shouldn't be a draught into the room if im understanding you correctly

Thanks for the reply. Pic below, not great as the clearance in there makes it difficult to get a good shot. The back box has several holes in it so temporarily I added electric insulation tape to the inside of the box to reduce the breeze coming through the socket itself, but would like to seal it properly from the attic side before insulation goes on the stud knee wall. Its amazing what shoddy workship you find when you go crawling around behind walls!. I was hoping some kind of spray sealant could be used over it.

The boxes come with holes. It shouldn't matter once the socket goes on it. The only draughts should be from the side of the socket if the cutout was to big.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions. I think tape is the way to go to help with the issue, the breeze comes through the actual socket plug holes on a very windy day as well as surround. We are putting metac insulation on the crawl space studs around the socket area as well so all should sort out the issue

Does that conform to bulding regs a and fire regs though?

Is that safe to do?
