    Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can be of assistance. I signed up for the Marmotte in July, booked accommodation, entry paid and flights booked. Rang aer Lingus to book on bike and said the quota was full, as is all flights in and around the dates of the Marmotte. In a pickle now... does anyone have advice on this or know any groups heading over with a van. Have thought about DHL but afraid of bike damage. Hiring bikes over there is an option but not one I would prefer given the nature of the course.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

When you rang Aer Lingus to book your bike, did you get the same grump old biddy I got who told me "Well why didn'y you call before booking your flight?"

Same thing happened me. I had no choice but to change my outgoing flight (they had room on the return flight on the Sunday).

Mad as Hell....I feel your pain!

Get your bike measurements to bike hire company. Book your bike, get it at least two days before cycle.
Bring your own shoes and pedals.

That's what I did, bike felt more comfortable than my own!

I had the same problem with them when I did the marmotte...So I went onto their website and checked my bike box in as fishing equipment. If you have a decent bike box that could be used to carry other sports gear. They wont ask or care when checking in. I have a Thule Bike case which can be seen on the amazon website.
