How much is petrol in Venezuela ? according to this its only 2cent/L Unleaded

To fill your tank you pay: €97.28
You pay €2.37 less than average in your country

Without tax, you would only pay €42.16
    Most expensive

In Netherlands you would pay €10.79 more
    Cheapest

In Venezuela you would pay €96.04 less

    I stand corrected

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/venezuela-is-cheapest-place-in-the-world-to-buy-petrolat-8p-a-litre--compared-to-135p-a-litre-in-the-uk-8069667.html

Venezuela is cheapest place in the world to buy petrol at 8p a litre – compared to 135p a litre in the UK

Hard to understand the connection between "paying more than average in your country" and the rest of the figures.. seems to be driven by fuel tank size but in some weird way, ie:

9litre fuel tank = you pay EUR0.03 more than average
9000 litre fuel tank = you pay EUR2.53 more than average

    ??

PS: They should have put in Oz too.

Venezuela subsidises its fuel. A friend lived there for a while. It cost less to fill a big V8 petrol Prado at a petrol station than to buy a bottle of coke when he was there....

Fuel in Oz changes so much over a short period of time though. It is usually more expensive nearer the weekend here.

Sure today diesel was AU$1.50+/L and saw an old little Mobil selling at $1.39/L so I filled up there. Out in the bush/remote areas fuel can be up to $2.50/l because you don't have anywhere else to fill up (locals get it cheaper....)

Good to see they are being responsible and not encouraging the wasteful use of a finite resource........

I think I remember seeing in 2012 they were going to cut the subsidies for fuel and it sparked riots almost?
