SWAP: Compact for a Standard Chainset!

I have a 14 month old 6700 compact Ultegra Chainset for swap. 50x34 and 172.5 crank arms. Very well maintained chainset with plenty of life left in the rings. There is rubbing on the driveside thanks to an overshoe strap. Besides that it is fine.

I'm looking for a standard 172.5mm equivalent chainset. I would entertain an SL version of the older 6600 model if it was lightly used or even a 5700 model 105 if it was next to brand new. edit: If someone had a 6600 Ultegra lying around that went unused, I'd happily swap for that as well!;)

    Thanks.

Just spotted this, don't know if you'd entertain a 170mm crank, but I'm sorely tempted as I'm in the same boat as you, want to change my 170mm 5700 compact for a double, though I too would have liked a 172.5mm. How much difference could 2.5mm realistically make?

I have a Ultegra 6600 chainset, 172.5 standard chainset if you are interested. Its in excellent condition, as I used it briefly before switching to compact - been kept as a spare ever since, I'm about to build up a new frame and am looking for a compact crankset so this could suit both of us. I can send you on pics if you are interested.

@colm_gti. Thanks for that offer but I use 172.5mm cranks and have done for a while now.

@bsb1971. If no-one gets back to me with an offer of a 6700 or 6600 SL standard chainset, I'll certainly consider yours.:)

Here's a pic of mine showing the rub from the overshoe.

I'd be interested in swapping my 5700 105 170mm compact in good condition for this, if you're interested, and of course if velo finds a 6700 or 6600 SL.

@ velo - you still looking to swap compact to standard chainset or did you get sorted?
