I really like the Guinness picture, nice mix of colours in that one. Made me feel warm for some reason :o

    Great pictures overall!

not really a lens test per-se .... did you check the images for any warping or distortion ?
    what camera did you use?
    what settings ?

did you post process any of the images ? (are they the same as when they were originally taken ?)

I'm glad that you are happy with the lens and results you have obtained and best of luck with the future images !

I bought this lens last summer and I love it!

Here are two of my favourites taken with it

Did you have the previous version to compare against?

Sorry I should have clarified that. Its a lens test in as much as I was testing the lens, but not in any scientific or quantifiable measure. I was just testing to see if I liked it, and I do, quite a lot thankfully.

No afraid not. All I know about the previous version is what Ive read in reviews. By all accounts a great lens but seemingly a little softer in general. I probably would have gone for the first version if I hadnt found the mk II version for such a good price.

you'd want to have liked it after paying for it !! ..lol

have not purchased a 16-35mm mkII for 2/3years (have 2 of them and rarely use them) - got the new 24-70mkII last week ... have used it but not played with it yet, the old 24-70 is a bit battered.

Ahh Id read up enough for it to be a fairly safe bet. Still nice to confirm it for myself though.

I got it in ISS in Dublin. Id recommend them without any hesitation.

17-40 is meant to be an amazing lens too but I dont have any personal experience with it.

how much did you pay ? (or should I ask)

They have great customer service - but terrible prices (in my experience)

It was a preowned one so got it for 1K even. Most people selling them on adverts.ie were looking for 1200 upwards. This one was mint condition, just been serviced and came with a 12 month warranty from ISS so I can't complain about that.
