IT Services Coordinator Job Interview Tomorrow

I have a job interview tomorrow and it will be the first job interview I've done since 1999.

The recruitment agency have told me that the firm are interviewing 3 people including me. I've been self employed for 4 years providing IT support to small businesses but this company would be using enterprise level applications that I don't have a lot of experience with such as VMware VSphere, Veeam and Citrix XenApp. I'm fairly surprised I've got an interview to be honest. The job is a number 2 position helping the IT manager maybe because of this they can afford to take someone who doesn't tick all the boxes.

I'm just wondering what to expect in terms of questions? On the job spec it says an IT test will be performed on each candidate, what form do these normally take? Any advice greatly appreciated, I'm nervous even now thinking about it.

    Best of luck!

Any IT test I have done has been so random in terms of questions. I think the only constant one was "explain RAID".

It really is tough to tell. Hope it goes well though!

How many people are working there? if it is a small companyr they might be looking for someone who can handle the day to day tasks of helpdesk i.e. ensuring user issues are being handled in a proficient manner so the IT manager can work on projects, you might not need exp in those technologies so show them you have an interest in learning new skills and are interested in getting exposure to enterprise level systems. Most of these systems have a web based portal and are point and click for the majority of 1st level admin tasks, there might be someone else who's responsible for the2n/ 3rd level issues.

Thanks for the replies. There are around 300 employees, half of which would be manual jobs with no IT dependency.

I wasn't successful. The guy who got the job was already working for a company who were using enterprise level tech so he would be able to hit the ground running. Cheers for the advice anyway.
