Job advertised by recruitment agency

    Hi all,

Started the job hunt as I'm finishing up my masters. It is my first "real world" job after college. I have seen some jobs advertised by recruitment agencies on job websites and want to apply for them. My question is, some of the ads say things like "Contact (name) on (xxxxxx) for more information" I don't really have any questions as all the information is given in the ad but should I call anyway to make contact and express my interest or just upload a CV?

Upload CV, then call a few hours later or next day.

This gives the recruiter time to review your experience and determine whether you are a good fit for the role. Calling them can also lead to other roles you may not have spotted so is definitely worth doing.

Thanks r3nu4l. I know the agency do actually have some other jobs I am interested in but they are with different people in the same agency, do you think I should say to the one that has given their number I am also interested in the job the other person in the agency has advertised too?

Well if you apply you could ask

What time frame are the client looking at to hire people i.e. is there a closing date for applications and when would the client company hope to start interviews?
    Are there many other applications?
