I am looking at upgrading my La Pierre 400r lite FJD racing bike with a new frame and fork, with a
Ridley Orion 1204C Frameset 2012. Can anyone tell me if its a good frame to build a bike around. I'll use my original groupset / components to build it at first and change these over time. See below:
Headset: Aluminium Integrated 1.1 / 8, Crankarms: Shimano Tiagra 30x39x50, Bottom Bracket: Shimano External Bearings, Cassette 9S Shimano HG50 13X25 Front Derailleur Shimano Tiagra, Rear Derailleur: Shimano Tiagra, Shifters: Shimano Tiagra, Handlebar: Ritchey Logic 31.8, Stem: Ritchey Logic 31.8, Brake: Shimano Tiagra, Rims: Shimano WH-R500,Seatpost: Ritchey Logic 31.6X300

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Thanks for that. What wheels would you recommend for training / racing. Basically an all round wheel.
    Thanks

Loads to choose from, budget is the deciding factor really.......
<€200 - cannot really go far wrong with Mavic Askiums
<€400 - I have Campagnolo Zonda (come with Shimano or Campag freehub) and they are fab
<€600 - getting into carbon wheel territory.

You pays you money, and takes your chance.!

There's a separate thread on here today regarding Cosmic wheels, and in that is referenced an independent wheel test - no harm to have a read.......
