    Strange one for yas,

Im nearly sure theres a bird nesting in my boiler in the kitchen, any time the boiler comes on (20mins in morning and 20 in the evening thats it i only use gas to heat water) a small bird flies out of the vent out the back, also if i open the back door same bird flies out of it,

Not sure what to do i would of thought its unsafe

I rang electric ireland today to get someone out the said ring rspca they wont go near it till bird and nest is gone, but rspca arnt gona touch a gas boiler soooo.....

Anyone know what i can do, should i turn off boiler ??

Birds nest has to go.If your utility company wont do it get an independent RGI out to clear it before it builds a nest or lays its eggs .A nest in the flue will either starve the boiler of air and it wont ignite leaving you with no heating or it will obstruct the exit for flue gases and potentially poison you

It's not unheard of. I had one a couple of weeks ago in an oil boiler flue. 2" of soot in the boiler. Where there is a bird, you will find a nest. This is be a blockage. The boiler will most likely be very high in Carbon Monoxide.
Call an RGI, explain the situation & get him to bring a proper flue guard. He will inspect the flue, clean as required and ensure the boiler is running as it should be. They will then fit the flue guard.
Do not use the boiler until this is done.
