Go bhunúsach chur duine ceist orm na focal thíos a aistriú:

INCREASE OUR FAITH – FAN THE FLAME

Is i gcomhthéacs an Eaglais atá sé seo, bhís ag aistriú é mé fháin, ach glacaim nach bhfuil cruinneas teanga maith agam! Ar aon nós an féidir libh dul chun cinn a déanamh ar mo chuid aistriú?

    Now what I might say:

“Neartaigh ár gCreideamh – spreag an bhladhm” – literally ‘strengthen our faith – encourage the flame’

A direct translation would not flow as natuarally (I don’t think it would anyway) – and lasrach may be a better word for flame (instead of bhladhm) given the context... and misnigh instead of spreag for encourage?

“Ardaigh ár gCreideamh – gaothrán* an lasrach”

*Gaothriagh? gaoth (x)? Not sure of the verb here...

    Go raibh maith agaibh :)

    Le gach deá ghuí!
