Best mould killer for wardrobe

Just a follow up on a thread I was posting on last week, I was just wondering what peoples recommendations would be for the best way to kill mould in a wardrobe?

I’m hoping a ventilation system that was put in will keep it away, but I need to properly kill the mould to see if that has worked.

I was advised to use bleach by a surveyor but from reading the web, it’s not the best thing to do!

I have been googleing this today and the HG spray looks great but cant be used on wood!

Cant find a definitive answer for the best product to use in the wardrobe though!!

Any suggestions before I take a trip up to homebase and woodies during the week? Appreciate all comments, thanks!

I heard Dettol mould & mildew remover was good mould-and-mildew.png but I've never used it myself

I also heard Milton milton_sterilising_fluid_500ml_493.jpg was good too.

    Thanks for that.

Anyone have experiences of using anything else when trying to kill the mould in wardrobes? (or have experiences of using the above 2)

I have used the dettol mildrew remover and found it brilliant. I used it on walls beside windows and cream roller blinds.

    Thanks,

Have used the dettol myself on side of windows in the past and found it good!

But I have a big wardrobe and chest of drawers to do so want to get something that would be ideal for that! (maybe the dettol would be the thing?)

Why is there mould in wardrobe?

Is it up against an exterior wall? Built in?

Yeah build in and up against the exterior wall.

I’m hoping if I kill it properly, the ventilation I got done should help prevent it from coming back!! ( a surveyor reckons it should do the job but he suggested bleach)

Just want to make sure I use the right stuff to kill it!!

My sister has this problem in the bedroom. They're using a dehumidifier which has been an enormous help. The room has two outside walls & is north west facing & is the coldest in the house.
