Buying insurance with pending claim

    Hi,

    i have a pending claim on my insurance since last may, i am looking to get back on the road now but cant find an insurance company that will insure me until the claim is settled. is there any insurance company that will insure me?

    I think it's usually the case that you have to stick with your current insurer, the one who is covering the claim, until the claim is settled.

    Your claim could go from 10 euro to one million euro overnight. As a result, a new insurer don't actually know how much of a liability you are and as such won't touch you with a rusty pole covered in dog pooh. To answer your question in the long and short of it, No. :)

    Could i get insurance with the company that i had insurance with. It ran out a couple of weeks after the claim.

    They should quote. If they don't then you'll need to get three refusal letters and take it to the IIF. They'll then instruct probably your last insurer to quote you.
