Astra Saloon Wiper Problem

    Howrya Lads,

Quick one for ya, have a 2003 Astra Saloon with an intermittent wiper problem.
On med/full speed they're fine. On the intermittent mode they don't return to the down position. I'm sure this would fail an NCT. You can get then down but takes a few moves of the stalk.
Don't wanna spend a fortune hoping for a quick fix, aren't we all!
    Thanks in advance

Sounds like the wiper motor has had it. Had the same issue and had to end up a brand new motor. Tried fitting a second hand one first but it only lived a week or so. In the end a new one was fitted, think it was around 150 fitted, not entirely sure but defo not cheap fix

The fault is in the motor as said above, New could be pricey but you should be able to get one second hand easily, although it does happen a fair bit to Astra's as they age so there is no telling how long a second hand one would last.

I had this problem before on a 00 astra. Bought a second hand wiper motor from traynors, think it was 30/40 euro delivered, and the cars still in the family, motor still going fine.
