kms or miles?

I am going to view a car tonight but the owner doesn't know if dashboard is showing distance in miles or kms. Obviously it makes a huge difference.
Should thedashboard say km or miles beside distance?
The dashboard is electronic, does that mean you can change view from miles to km?
The car is a 2007 year, suzuki.

It'll say km or miles on the dash, The speedo for that motor is in kms so im sure its kms

Bring a satnav, take note of reading before testdrive, go for 5KM testdrive....

In that add its listed as kms for a 2007 model, kms it is

Km clocks go up to around 200. Mph dont.

If its only got one scale then its km. if there's 2 then its mph.

Kms clock measure odometer in kms, mph and km measure in miles.
If its miles then its probably a uk import.

Some cars have the option of displaying the odometer in KM or Miles but id imagine in that case it should also list KM or Mls in the odometer reading. If no option to change on that car it will be in whatever the speedo is.

Yes, very important point.
My car has km only clocks being an 08 Irish car but I can select that the mileage, trip distance and even a digital speedo show in miles & mph. It does show a little 'mi' beside the reading when its set to miles.

And don't commit to buying a car you are viewing in the dark. If it feels good then arrange to view it again in the daylight.

If u worried about telling difference between miles or kms, hope u bringing a mechanic with you.

That mileage if definitely in kms since the clocks are in kph.

kph clocks mean the mileage is in kms, mph clocks mean the mileage is in miles. On some cars, you can choose to have the mileage in either miles or kms, so you could have a car with kph clocks but with the mileage showing miles, and vice-versa, but mileometer will always state which system is being used.
