Folks, heading to Dundrum in morning and will need to pop into city afterwards, can anyone tell me of a car park suitable, I will be travelling bk down the M7 afterwards so somewhere that would be easy to get out of the city I guess, thanks!

Depends what part of the city centre you're going to?

Stephens green/grafton st area: on the green itself, drury street, Brown Thomas car park, Stephens green sc car park.

O'Connell st/Henry st: Ilac, Jervis, one behind the cinema off Parnell street.

Also consider leaving the car in dundrum and taking the luas from dundrum to Stephen's Green, only about 15 mins (or less), save a lot of hassle if it's an option.

Definitely leave the car in Dundrum (shopping centre carpark open 24hours), get the Luas from Balally/Dundrum to Stephens Green (about 10-15 mins). You're M50 adjacent in Dundrum anyway so it's easier for travelling onwards.

Thanks a million, avoid city traffic at all costs! Cheers!

Depends where you're going in the city centre. It might be as handy to take the M50 around to the N7, leave the car in the Red Cow Luas carpark and then take that Luas into the city: the Red Luas line (from the Red Cow) serves the north side of the city centre (Smithfield, Henry St, O'Connell St etc) while the Green Luas line (from Dundrum) serves the south side of the centre (Stephen's Green, Grafton St).
