I remember last year walking out of the student centre and a bunch of very nice looking girls were walking in.

One of them ask me where is the mystery tour, so I assume that's where she was going. I pointed her in the right direction and kept walking.

I feel now I should've escorted her, and maybe tried to get on the tour myself.

But were do all the cool people go?

Are they all C&E? Should I try to slip in with them?

    Help me people

Yes, you should slip into them.

"Coolness" is in the eye of the beholder. There's plenty of good looking girls in just about every society.
As for Mystery Tours and events and the such, just get involved in any of them if you want to meet people. Get involved in societies in general.

Please stop being a philosopher with your "in the eye of the beholder" stuff

Cool is universal and you know it.

I don't like societies. I have no interest in nothing.

I'm not sure if your trolling or not. If you have no interest in anything then no one will share that interest and thus no one will have an interest in you.

And coolness is in the eye of the beholder. Most ' stereotypical cool' people I know spend there days lazying around going out every other night and cruising by with a 2.0 GPA. If that makes them happy then I can't have a problem with it and I don't. Thats how someone wishes to spend their life.

I on the other hand spend alot of my time in college academically. However I DJ on the sidelines. A lot of people think thats 'pretty cool' when your in a club or whatever but I don't. Its a hobby.

The only way to get involved in UCD or anything in life is to either a) Take a leap of faith and try something totally outside your comfort zone or b) Pursue a sport / society that interests you. Preferably do both.

If you are not naturally a good / smooth talker then trying the 'going out every night trying to fit in' ain't going to work out too well. Your going to need the friends from part a above to tag along with you.

You couldn't pay me to hang out with the stereotypically 'cool' crowd. I still value my sense of individuality, thanks...

Excuse me ironclaw, but I have an intrinsic value that is immeasurable and beyond anything I do or say and regardless of any interest I may or may not have.

I would hate to think of the anxiety generated by people who think people will only like them because of their achievements or what their involved in.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt and your clearly trolling. I'm off.

I'm not trolling. You're just upset because I made you realize people only like you for your money and statues.

    Does he have money?

Not in the slightest. Pretty sure my post said the exact opposite in that money is actually no consideration to myself.

I'm locking this because it's hurting my brain. Or my soul. One of the two is definitely hurting.
