I needed to lodge some cash into a friends account today. I didnt have a lodgement slip at home so I wrote out the account no. & sort code on a piece of paper. There were no lodgement slip left out in the bank for public use so up to the teller. It was spilling rain, my coat, hair & hands were dripping. She handed out the lodgment slip & said fill that in, she knew I expected her to fill in the details & I would sign it but she said we are NOT ALLOWED fill it in. What are we paying fees for? The same with the new machines for lodging money. I am going to An Post/AIB now where they do the transactions. How does a person 80 + years manage?
