    Hi everyone

I apologise in advance for my ignorance when it comes to all things car related...
I drive an 02 Opel Corsa and just today the seatbelt/airbag light has come on the dash. The car's booklet is very vague about it - does anyone have any idea what is causing this? And more importantly, do you think it will be expensive to get sorted?

    Thanks

There will be a fault code associated with it, stored in cars computer.
A mechanic with modern gear will be able to read that code and narrow down the cause of it.

If it happened after a moving seats around, or something heavy ish rolling around under seats or hoovering under seats then you probably upset the connectors there. Mechanic will reconnect the connectors properly and try to clear the code and hopefully that will be that.

Anything after that could get expensive, depending on what shows up. Get a second opinion if there's big money involved.

Thanks for the reply! I'll get it looked at as soon as funds are available. Until then there's no huge saftey issue is there? Seatbelts are still working fine.

Couldn't guarantee all or any airbags or pretensioners would work in a crash.
