Coarse Fishing - River Liffey/Leixlip Reservoir

I'm thinking of checking out the Leixlip Reservoir and the Liffey around Island Bridge/Memorial Park. I've never fished either and I'm just wondering what are the best tactics and if I'm trying to catch anything other than roach or perch??

    Cheers!

In memorial Park you won't catch anything other than Roach or perch, you might get the odd Hybrid but they are few and far between, best methods are 6 - 7 meter whip or feeder fishing, if you have a sidewinder bite indicator they are very useful here, as regards the Reservoir it can be more trouble than it's worth, water levels fluctuate a great deal here so fishing methods depend on the levels on the day, you'll always get a few on the feeder but if levels are down fishing a waggler is enjoyable, species here include Roach, Bream, Hybrids, Eels, Perch.
