    Hi there,
I have recently found interest in DJing, and bought a Dynacord powermate 1600-1, with speakers. I have also purchased Virtual DJ for my laptop. I was wondering if that would be sufficient for the moment, or would it necessary for me to by mixing decks etc.
    Thank you for your time.

As someone who just fecks around with vdj the odd time, I'd wonder how well you'd be able to sync the tracks using only one deck (using the mouse)?

    Technically, yes.

    Should you? No.

You very well can.although 16 year olds might think your cool, anyone with half a brain knows all your doing is syncing and moving a mouse.if vdj is really the route you want to go down, i suggest buying a controller so at least it looks like your making an effort

Vitual DJ is pretty bad software. If you're interested in the digital route, check out something like Traktor, Serato or even Torq.

Thanks for the advice, another problem I'm having is connecting my laptop to my PA system, as I need a monitoring output and a master output. However my laptop only has a aux out, is there a device I need to buy? Thanks for the reply

Yea it's annoying trying to mix on the software, and I have decided to buy a controller, thanks for the advice
