Bit of a herpo lad myself do not feed wild rabbits to snakes
Iwas told this by a lad because I had monitors and was gonna feed same and he said not to as to many diseases in rabbits that'd do damage also liver flux in rabbits can be deadly
And never heard of anyone guttin food before giving it to a snake
Young rabbits are ok he told me

i know a lot of the lads in the UK that feed wild shot, but they freeze them for a few weeks to kill off any parasites ect..
I don't know how well this works but they don't seem to get problems.

Why not get a breeding pair of rabbits, rear your own. fresh disease free supply.

We used to breed our own continental giant rabbits, they weren't that cheap to maintain. We had another child so we had to get rid of them as they are quite time consuming.
We also have one of the largest collections of large snakes in the country so they eat a lot.
