    Hi All.

In our new home, our kitchen doesnt have a dishwasher.

There are plenty of presses, how much effort would it take to convert a press into the space for a dishwasher?

Can the door of the press be used for a built-in dishwasher?

    Are they standard sizes?

    Thanks,

    David

Most appliances are 60cm wide, so if you have a press 60cm wide then it should be fairly easy to remove it completely, including the sides and slot in a dishwasher.

You will of course need to get an electrical socket, water feed & waste pipe in as well which may limit your options.

A door could be made to fit, depending on the style of dishwasher and the height of the door.

Freestanding dishwasher needs a 610mm wide space.

integrated and semi integrated dishwashers need a 600mm space

Door width for an integrated model is 595mm

Your going to need power, water and a waste behind a unit on either side, (hence why dishwashers are normally next to the sink :-))

There's also 450 wide options available
