Internal insulation

I'm currently looking at renovating my old house. My plan is to externally insulate the existing walls as it is a house from the 1940s and the walls are made of concrete and rubble. I am going to extend using traditional 300mm cavity wall with 60mm insulation in the cavity. I was thinking of increasing the insulation and the size of the cavity but because I'm externally insulating there is no point.

I had planned to add insulated plaster board on the internal walls but now I'm thinking I won't because if I leave the walls just plastered they should work as a thermal mass and help hold the heat.

Am I better off not adding plaster board to the internal walls.

    Thanks
