    Hi All,

So I am interested in setting up an investment club in the Dublin region. If anyone is interested please post here, we will probably need at least ten people to make it feasible.

My plans at present would be monthly meetings of the club and maybe 50 euro a month per person towards investing in a companies shares.

The plans could be easily changed to whatever would suit the majority in the club best.

Anyway, leave a post if your interested, would be a great way to get involved at a low price, and we could all share knowledge and ideas etc

    Thanks

Looking at you other posts and the fact you have only been on here 3 weeks, at least under that user, there is no chance I would be giving you €50.

    Good luck.

Now theres a great attitude:D,i don't think he's asking anyone for 50 quid ,he's looking to set up a club, for like minded folk ,to start investing cheaply, and maybe bounce a few ideas off a few different people and maybe learn something along the way.
But this probably wouldn't interest you as i see you've a grand total of 2 posts in the investments /markets section of these boards, maybe you should keep all your posativity for the cars section:p.

    Sorry for the hijack OP.

Will do, there is a tried and tested layout available from the Irish Stock Exchange. The club will most likely operate with that system as its the most widely used, fairest and was developed independantly!

Do you have more information about how the club will work? Is it an online thing? I would be interested but not in the Dublin area

The club will follow the guidelines found on the irish stock exchange investment club brochure

    http://www.camocon.ie/pdf/invclubs.pdf

Basically it will be majority votes on investment choices, and monthly meetings and contributions for investing from each member.

Can this be done remotely instead of in person as I am not located in Dublin but interested in taking part?

No it will have to be done in person

Thats a pity as I would take part if we could do it online on something like Google Hangouts where it allows 10 people to video chat at the same time maybe I might look at setting up something like this for people not in Dublin.
