    Hi,

I'm going to be in Shanghai in April and wondering what part of the city to stay in?

It's colossal so I'm a bit confused as to where would be good. Ideally somewhere well connected to public transport, shops, nightlife etc.

    Any advice welcome.

    Thanks

Nanjing Road,(spelling could be wrong), which is as central as you can get, The Bund is only about 400mts away as are the river ferries for tours. Also you can get the under river train to Poodong from there. Very historic area around the Bund. I think it was the Sofitel that we stayed in. Nanjing road at night time resembles Time Square with all the neon signs and the crowds walking down it.
