Irish Illegal Immigrant Nanny held on suspision of Murdering Baby in US

    Not sure if this has been done here but I have not found any thread on this topic.

    An Irish woman has been charged with violently assaulting a baby in her care in Massachusetts US. The authorities have stated that the baby suffered injuries consistent with abusive head trauma. Such a sad case really not only because of the very sad circumstances surrounding her death but the baby turned one year old on the day she died.

    It has also been revealed that the Irish woman is an illegal immigrant in the US who arrived in 2002 on a 90 days visa but has since overstayed her visa and worked illegally. The facts are still hazy and it might still take some time to establish the real accounts as to how this baby died, thankfully for her she has the support of the Irish community.

    Apparently they are still awaiting medical reports to establish the true cause of death- very unfortunate but interesting case.

    It reminds me of the Louise Woodward case from the late 90s. The evidence suggests that's it's not looking good for McCarthy-Brady at all.

    What does her nationality have to do with it? A Sri Lankan nanny was beheaded in Saudi for something similar recently. If she's guilty, let her do the time, if not, great.

    Good point. I am just perplexed about the lack of discussion about the case on here, perhaps its because she is Irish and also an illegal immigrant. A similar situation with the suspect from another country would have generated a lot of attention.
