    Thanks very much.

Balbriggan Garda Station are currently trying to arrange this - just waiting for local management to give the green light.

Do you think they have them under the counter, waiting for tragedies like this.
They have more things on their minds at the moment. It will be there at the appropriate time.

I am not being rude, it takes time to get things organized, what do you expect Garda stations to put A4 jotters out to suite impatient ????.

Well they obviously had enough time at Dundalk GS and St Pats? In situations like this there will always be kind people who endeavor to enure others can pay their respects. Let's not forget why oldhead asked - a Guard died today - do you really think its appropriate to make jotter gags?

    Peace

    Oookay......

I will assume by your vernacular that you are not a member...

If I am correct in that assumption; who the hell are you to to make such statements?

If I am incorrect in that assumption; cop yourself on. A member of the public wants to express their sympathy and you start this smart arse ****e?

Typed a bit more, but bit my tongue.

It is just over 24 hours since, he died. I am sure his fellow officers have a lot on their plate at the moment. What is wrong about doing it tomorrow. Or is it more important to be seen to be first in the door. It would be more respectful to the fallen officer, to shut this thread down.

    Your concern is noted.

Books were open within 24 hours by people who cared & who knew that others who cared would wish to express their feelings.

Yes, it takes time to organize. If you think my posts were abrupt, my apologies.

Yes they were abrupt, but apology accepted.

Feeling running very high, things are very raw to those of us close to this. :(

    Peace.

Just found out a little while ago that the Tholsel in Drogheda town has a book now.. or had one today anyway. I'm not sure if it's gone, if it's there indefinitely or what the story is to be honest.

Simple isn't it, they have opened books of condolence in all areas, as I pointed out they need time. The rush to do so and make sure to be seen signing it, seems to be more important than having consideration for the victims. I do not mean that of the thread starter. It becomes a photo shoot.
