Can anyone tell me if this is good or bad? I've no idea

    I was sent instructions on how to update my firmware for my modem the other day, which I did.
    Ever since then, my internet's been a bit slower.
    I ran a speed test on Eircom's site, but the numbers mean nothing to me.
    Can anyone tell me whether the following is good or bad?

    Download Speed: 7.03 Mb/s
    Upload Speed     : 0.30 Mb/s
    Ping                    : 63ms

    Numbers look ok. Try on this site while plugged in (ethernet cable) to the modem:
    www.speedtest.net

    OK, I did that. Connected via yellow cable and did test on www.speedtest.net and here are the results;

    Download: 6.99Mbps
    Upload: 0.43
    Ping: 45ms

    Any good?

    It could be very good depending on what you're paying eircom for. Do you know?

    Hi fussyonion

    I can confirm that the results you are getting and the speed result from speedtest. net  are very good as you are paying for a service that offers up to 8mb speeds.
