    Hi
I want to get braces and was wondering if anyone has any info or experience getting them done in Newry? If anyone could recommend an orthodontist there that would be great.
Also if I get them there is it possible then to go any local orthodontist for them to be tightened etc..?

Op I would imagine the majority cost or braces is not the physical stuff on your teeth, it's the orthos skill in moving your teeth. The above plan is crazy ( and you also probably won't find an ortho willing to do it)

Most of what you're paying for is the actual visits to get them tightened. So it would actually probably work out more expensive if you got them put on in Newry and tightened by a local ortho..

No it will not be possible to get a local guy to tighten them. The cost difference is minimal between north and south if you do your research.

    Thanks for the replies.
Ok I was due to see an orthodontist here 2 weeks ago but something happened my car didn't know how much it would cost to fix so had to postpone, had been given a rough quote of 3000 at a previous app with the dentist and a couple of friends said they think the white train tracks cost 4000. I was under the impression they cost alot less up north. It's not so much the money I know they have a payment plan here but I'm hoping to go away at the end of this year/start of next year and someone had told me any orthodontist could tighten them etc.. after I got them on, the sooner I get them on the sooner I get them off but if the same orthodontist has to do all the work then I may just get them on and put off going away until they come off.
