I found an old mans Wallet today with his travel pass ,cards and about 50 euro. His address was on the Travel pass so I dropped it down to his house which was about a mile away from me. He was delighted to get it back.

He didnt offer nor would I have accepted anything for returning his wallet. However when I arrived home from shopping about an hour later my wife told me that a man had called to the house and left a nice bottle of wine in as a thank you ! Happy Days.

Do you want a medal or something?

Do you want to be thanked for saying that or something?

Hardly thread-worthy stuff is it? Surely returning the wallet to its owner is the default response to finding it to begin with?

    I agree.

But, there's enough nastiness going on in the world, that it's nice to hear/read nice stories every so often, especially in After Hours. :)

    To some people, yes.

To others, they think it's their lucky day. :(

Nice to hear on a day that to some is dark with other news events.
Shows there is still also goodness in the world. Thank you. :)

What if there was 4k in it? how easy would it be to hand over.

Well, you'd keep it then, obvo! Who here has seen a one thousand euro note? I'd be wanting to show all my friends. The other 3 notes would be back ups if the first one went missing or got damaged etc.
