Ford Focus 1.4, can I fit a 1.6 engine?

    Hey i recently bought a 1.4 ford focus and it had no engine im finding it hard to find a 1.4 to replace it but a scrap dealer told me a 1.6 will do it and the brain wont need to be changed but other ppl are telling me different.. wondering can anyone tell what the proper answer is.. Cheers

    Proper answer would be to get a 1.4 and to do it the right way - like for like. Doing anything different will end up with you spending more time and money than anything else. There will be differences in the 1.6 and 1.4 however slight they may be.

    I think boards is showing threads in the wrong order sometimes.

    The mobile site is showing them in reverse order every time I click in.
    A refresh usually reverts it back to 'most recent'.
    The PC site seems to be OK at the moment.


    Unfortunately in this particular instance we'll never know how the OP got on. His 1st, and only, post took over 7 years to get a reply..... poor b@$terd !!! :D
